The creation of this website is heavily inspired by Neocities and the Indie Web movement; it is one of the few remnants of a free web that we have left today. We are living in a day and age where a few corporations have a monopolistic hold over the entire internet. Using the internet used to be an upper-class signifier; if you were tech literate, it meant you could afford a computer and the education to operate one.

Now with the amount of ads, brainrot, AI, and misinformation being pushed by corporations whose only motive is an infinite accumulation of wealth, we are seeing a new type of proletariat. One that is dependent on these parasitic technologies, which has created a politically docile and technologically illiterate population. We are too happy to consume the expensive, inconvenient, and subpar products these companies push towards us. The internet is not used as a community space anymore; it is used as a political weapon to placate any thought that isn't 'BUY NOW.'

Technology should be free
Technology should be accessible
Technology should preserve our agency and our dignity
Technology should be in the hands of the working class
